This Weeks Catch Up News
An update from last nights gathering.
Hi folks, Armidale is ground zero for the NBN in Australia. Whilst a lot of media attention has been on "potential" uses for this amazing new innovation, there has not been a lot of help for people who are using it NOW. Everyday, ordinary folks who suddenly have a fibre connection in their loungeroom - now what?? So, after seeing the amazing amount of knowledge and experience that existed on Whirlpool, and discussing with Massiel about her Tech in the Pubs nights, I thought I could hijack her idea. (Oh, and this website too!) The idea is to see what we are using the NBN for, to discuss it and share our problems/solutions ideas etc. A structure is very loosely based around Linux User groups of the past, where it is largely a Show & Tell for grownups. It would be great to see everyone at the Grand next Thursday evening 6-7pm. Bring a friend. Regards, -Jack McCaw |
