Technology made useable!
Has iPad will travel
Hello I'm Massiel and I'm a lecturer in ICT at the School of Education at the University of New England.
Being passionate about teaching and using mobile technology a great deal of my time goes to learning to find ways to make education more engaging and keeping up-to-date with applications and mobile devices. I've been a member of many voluntary organisations over the years and I'm sure you have too. One thing in common with teachers is we like to help others, but what about helping each other? This idea became possible because two heads are always better than one, and through out trial meetings it turns out we have a great team of experts and passionate teachers amongst us eager to make this a regular event. Big thank you to Michael Wilson, who with me got this project started, and a thank you to all the teachers who have been turning up. This page is now open for those who want to go ahead and introduce themselves to do so. This is your playground! - Massiel Barros-Torning BYO technology / device 6-7pm each Thursday

Teaching is my life
Michael is a passionate and inspirational teacher, well known for the eGats Project linking Gifted and Talented students from many regional schools with technology. With a mobile, laptop and now iPad, he's getting the hang of the mobile teacher and travel. And boy does he do some travelling in our region visiting schools. Why the Pub?
Traditionally the Australian local Pub has been a meeting place, a quick place to catch up, relax and meet friends from different work places after a hard long day working.
Why not revive this ? Share and keep each other up dated on ideas to try and help each other learn to use our technology better? |
